The Athens Stock Exchange and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announce the launch of a tender for the project: "PR 009896 - Research Coverage Project: Provision of research coverage services for selected listed Greek companies in the Athens Stock Exchange." This project is run by the EBRD as part of its "SME Pre-Listing Support" program, which is funded by Greece and supported by the Athens Stock Exchange."

This significant initiative aims to showcase the potential of ATHEX-listed companies and foster the growth of the Greek capital market. The objective of the project is the production of free, publicly available, high-quality research reports ? for at least eight less covered companies listed on the Athens Stock Exchange over a 2-year period ? so investors can overcome information barriers, which depress market liquidity. The project will be overseen by the EBRD in cooperation with the Athens Stock Exchange and shall be delivered by a local or international consultant.

The assignment of the project is expected to start in September 2023, and has an estimated overall duration of 24 months, and a cost estimation of €190,000.

Yianos Kontopoulos, ATHEXGROUP CEO said: "I am very excited to announce this important initiative in partnership with the EBRD, which underscores our commitment to showcasing the potential of ATHEX-listed companies and driving the growth of the Greek capital market. Through this project, we aim to empower investors with comprehensive research coverage, enhance the visibility of companies, and ultimately contribute to the overall development of our market."

Andreea Moraru, EBRD's regional Head of Greece and Cyprus mentioned: "Our commitment to support the Greek Capital Market and our belief that it is a key financing tool not only for large companies but also for SMEs, is consolidated with yet another initiative aimed at stimulating the market."
