EUROMED Innovation and Technology Programme" awarded to INTRASOFT International
INTRASOFT International has been awarded the EUROMED project of EuropAid, budget 7,243,000 EUR for a duration of 3 years.
The beneficiaries of the project will be Mediterranean public and private enterprises, which require appropriate infrastructures that support innovation and technology in accordance with the specific needs of SMEs, as well as reinforcing their competitiveness.
The project aims at filling an important gap in developing innovativeness in business firms and building the innovation systems in the MEDA countries. These countries, in order to acquire competitive edge in the globalised economy, need new knowledge and skills and self-sustainable structures. The project aims to provide the MEDA enterprises with new instruments in respect to the competitiveness and innovation at firm and country levels, to reinforce their development in order to achieve a good level of services and create an effective link between research and industry.
The work will be carried by INTRASOFT International and its partners through consulting, specialised support, training, visits and the establishment and operation of the required support structures locally.
EUROMED will have an impact on the design of common strategies and projects, innovation culture in businesses; the development of intermediary organisations; the reinforcement of MEDA Innovation structures or equivalent types of organisations supporting SMEs and the establishment of stable links with European institutions.
The project is of great importance for INTRASOFT International as it is its first concerning the MEDA countries (opportunities in local markets). The project will allow INTRASOFT International to transfer its knowledge and experience in the EU Innovation and Entrepreneurial fields - achieved through projects such as CORDIS, Trend Chart on Innovation, IRC and IRE - to MEDA. This exercise towards internationalisation and exportation of existing European support structures is very important not only for the c ompany but also for the European institutions as it is a "first.
