Athens Exchange in cooperation with global index provider FTSE Group ("FTSE") announces today a call for tender for the creation of Exchange Traded Funds on FTSE ATHEX 20 Index.  Through a joint venture co operation, FTSE and the Athens Exchange have created the FTSE / ATHEX 20 Index, which is widely regarded as the performance benchmark of the Greek market, comprised of companies with the biggest capitalization traded on the Athens Exchange.

ETF Issuers interested in replying to the tender for the creation of an ETF based on the FTSE / ATHEX 20 Index are requested to express their interest starting today and not later than October 12th 2007.

FTSE, in co operation with Athens Exchange will select and license the successful ETF Issuer after the tender closing date and a launch of the product is expected to take place by the end of 2007
