Execution of the 'Contract of Authorized Merchandise Concessionaire for the assumption of the Program of Retail Sale of Authentic ATHENS 2004 Merchandise
The pertinent contract was executed by the Executive Director Mr. Marton Simitsek on behalf of ATHENS 2004 and by Messrs. Carlo Bernasconi, Harilaos Lambropoulos and Gary March on behalf of Venue Retailing S.A. This Program concerns the retail sale of Authentic ATHENS 2004 Merchandise of all the Official Licensees during the ATHENS 2004 Olympic and Paralympic Games. For this purpose, Venue Retailing S.A. shall operate a network of some 100 stores within the competition and non-competition venues of the Games (Venue Stores), as well as an Olympic Superstore (with a surface of some 3,500 sq. m.) in the common domain area of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex.
The shareholders of Venue Retailing S.A. are the companies:
1.The Nuance Group Hellas S.A., a subsidiary of the Swiss company 'The Nuance Group AG', which operates the 5 Olympic Stores in Athens.
2.Hellenic Distributions S.A., a subsidiary of 'Hellenic Duty Free Shops S.A.'
3.Concept Sports International Pty. Ltd., an Australian company that had undertaken the respective programs during the Sydney Olympic Games and the Salt Lake City Winter Olympic Games.
The Program of Retail Sale of Authentic ATHENS 2004 Merchandise at the competition and non-competition venues provides the opportunity to spectators, athletes and employees of the Games to acquire unique collector's items as souvenirs of the Games that are exclusively available at the venue stores. The Olympic Superstore in particular is always a remarkable sight of the Games, since it is an area that, in addition to the huge variety of Authentic ATHENS 2004 Merchandise, through its special decoration, reflects the visual image of the Games, whereas there is a series of events and surprises for the spectators of the Games.
