FORTHnet officially announces the commercial introduction of Local Telephony services to ALL consumers - business and residential users · thus keeping its promise for provision of intergraded fixed telephony services in the first trimester of the year 2002.

After the recent decision of EETT that finalized the interconnection fees, FORTHnet henceforth offers to residential users the ability to complete local calls, enjoying important benefits. The company has been providing this service since December 2001 but only to corporate customers via leased lines.

Dialing the prefix 1789 before each number one wishes to call and from any fixed telephone, without requiring any additional equipment, the company's subscribers can make calls to any destination inside and outside Greece via FORTHnet's network.

The charges for consumers are particularly competitive and they are on average from 15% to 20% lower than those in effect. Suggestive prices for the company's subscriber calls are:

ALL of FORTHnet's subscribers enjoy apart from lower rates also a set of important advantages, such as free analytical billing at the end of each month and no monthly fixed charges. The cost of the 1789 prefix to OTE (GREEK PTT) is undertaken by FORTHnet while our customers are not charged with any extra activation costs or use of service.
