Full Year Results 2005
Today, the company Lampsa Hellenic Hotels SA announced the financial statements of the fiscal year 2005. The turnover resulted to 31 millions euro against 30,5 millions euro of the previous year. In that way the company achieved a raise against the 2004 Olympic Game year's turnover. The gains before taxes resulted to 4.397.657,84 euro against 4.299.473,28 euro of the previous year and the profit after taxes resulted to euro 3.439.875,89 against euro 3.034.271,41 of the previous year.
This major improvement is due to: a) The raise in the turnover, in comparison with the previous year, especially in the food and beverages revenues (5,0 % increase), and in the other revenues (11,0 % increase), also due to the significant raise of the hotel occupancy (25,0 % increase). The above prove the satisfactory penetration to the Greek and foreign market. b) The diminution of the operating cost and the improvement of the gross results (19,51% on the income) while the previous year was 20,26% on the income.
The Board of the Directors decided to propose to the General Assembly the amount of euro 0,05 dividend for each share. The Board of the Directors determined this dividend based on the favorable treatment of the company (due to previous tax losses) and on the further development of the company.
The Board of the Directors notices a positive view of the future for the company's position after the recent capital raise- amounted euro 45 million- in combination with (a) the raise in the turnover and (b) the achievement of high EBITDA (profit before taxes, interest and depreciations). Finally, the results of the first months of the financial year 2006 are very positive with a raise of the REVPAR (Revenue per Available room) by 9,0% and of the GOP (Gross Operating Profit) by 31,0%.
