GERMANOS SA's SUNLIGHT won a new internationnal BIDcontract of aggrement between SUNLIGHT and the Military Navy of Pakistan for two accumulator clusters

After an international bid, the Industrial Complex of GERMANOS undertook the construction of (1) submarine battery accumulator type AGOSTA 90B and one (1) submarine accumulator X-CRAFT.

The Industrial Complex of GERMANOS, SUNLIGHT, entered into a significant agreement with the Military Navy of Pakistan. After an international bid, GERMANOS SA undertook the construction of one (1) submarine battery accumulator type AGOSTA 90B and one (1) submarine accumulator X-CRAFT. As regards to the bid for the AGOSTA 90B type submarine battery accumulator, the Greek industrial unit won, contesting amongst the top constructors of the global defense industry, such as SEAC and EXIDE. The latest technology that SUNLIGHT incorporates, construction according to the highest European standards, the delivery time and the competitive price, constituted the selection criteria for GERMANOS SA.
It is worth noting that the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the type AGOSTA 90B submarine battery accumulator took place in Xanthi, during November 2005, in the presence of senior members of the Pakistani Ministry of Defense with excellent results.
Through this new agreement, GERMANOS SA's industrial Complex sets the basis for further cooperation with the aforementioned country, the Military Navy of which includes 5 AGOSTA type and 4 DAPHNE type submarines.
The uptake of the two new projects establish the presence of SUNLIGHT in the submarine accumulator replacement market amongst the biggest manufacturers.
