In accordance with the decision 5/204/14.11.2000 (Article 5a) of the Hellenic Capital Market Commission, the company Hellenic Exchanges Holding S.A., with regard to the article published on 22-03-2005 by the Greek newspaper ?KERDOS? regarding its new building that will house all the Departments and services of the Group, would like to clarify the following:

On February 8- 9, 2005, HELEX published in the Press the relevant Invitation of Tenders, dated 24.1.2005, to any physical or legal entity, to participate in the negotiation procedures related to the construction of a new building or search for an existing building, suitable to house the services of Hellenic Exchanges Group of Companies S.A.

The aforesaid announcement and the conventional copies provide for, inter alia, office spaces, conference rooms, communal spaces, etc, encompassing a total area of 5,000 m2.

It is noted that until Friday, March 4, 2005, six candidates expressed an interest for participating in the relevant contest and submitted their relevant proposals, pursuant to the specific terms stipulated in the announcement of the said contest.

Already, the aforesaid contest is in the second stage, according to the pertinent decision of the Board of Directors of the company and pursuant to the announcement. Specifically, at this stage, the company is in the process of collecting additional information from the candidates, in order to proceed with the negotiation process.
