Impressive financial results in 2006 for the Εuromedica Group - Significant 81% increase of consolidated profits after taxes, compared to 2005
The consolidated turnover of Euromedica S.A. rose to Euro 158.00 million for the 2006 fiscal year, a 17.3% increase compared to 2005.
The Company''s EBITDA amounted to Euro 25.15 million, compared to 18.65 million in 2005, a significant 34.8% increase.
The earnings before taxes amounted to Euro 11.28 million, compared to 6.99 million in the previous fiscal year, a dramatic 61.2% increase, whereas the profits after taxes were increased by 81% amounting to Euro 6.4 million, compared to 3.5 million in 2005.
Equally impressive were the parent company''s results as its turnover amounted to Euro 84.3 million, a 12.4% increase, whereas the earnings before taxes doubled amounting to Euro 3.4 million, compared to 1.7 million in 2005.
Commenting on the 2006 results, the Chairman of Euromedica, Mr. A. Terzopoulos, stated: We are very satisfied with the significant rise in all our figures in 2006, and we feel that this rising trend will go on and become even stronger in the following years. In 2006, Euromedica expanded its network, both in terms of number of units and geographically, while at the same time it improved the quality of its services, through investments in state-of-the-art equipment and perfect infrastructure installations. Our plans for further expansion are currently being implemented through selective synergies and buyouts, and we feel that the results of those plans will benefit all our company''s shareholders.

The earnings before taxes amounted to Euro 11.28 million, compared to 6.99 million in the previous fiscal year, a dramatic 61.2% increase, whereas the profits after taxes were increased by 81% amounting to Euro 6.4 million, compared to 3.5 million in 2005.
Equally impressive were the parent company''s results as its turnover amounted to Euro 84.3 million, a 12.4% increase, whereas the earnings before taxes doubled amounting to Euro 3.4 million, compared to 1.7 million in 2005.
