Incident at facility in India

Athens, April 9, 2014 – Frigoglass announces that there has been a fire incident at its Ice-Cold Merchandiser (beverage coolers) manufacturing facility in the Gurgaon region of India on Sunday, April 6. The fire primarily caused damage to the plant's warehouses and, to a lesser extent, to the production area. The initial damage assessment of the facility is underway.

We confirm that all employees and emergency services who attended the scene are well. There has been no serious injury during the incident.

The production process in the plant has been temporarily halted. We have key personnel onsite that are currently carrying out all safety checks and supervising the required repairs to the facility. Once we have reinstated our quality procedures, we will resume manufacturing as quickly as possible. At the same time, we have initiated contingency plans to source coolers for our customers from our global manufacturing base.

We maintain insurance policies, with first class Global Insurance companies, both for Property Damage and Business Interruption.

We are focusing on limiting the impact of any business interruption and are in continuous contact with our customers to provide them with regular updates.
