The new Integrated Information System of the Greek Postal Savings Bank is in full operation, in its 135 branches all over Greece, since the beginning of October 2006. INTRACOM IT SERVICES implemented and delivered the full project which included the design and implementation of the system, based on its universal banking product PROFITSΘY adapted to the needs of the Greek Postal Savings Bank.
The project, of Euro 11 m. approximate value, was awarded to INTRACOM IT SERVICES following an international tender and was implemented in two phases. The first phase included the design of the Integrated Information System (logical and physical architecture, requirements of technical infrastructure, security, communications, training, etc). The second phase included the implementation of an integrated banking software solution, based on PROFITSΘY covering the full scale of branch and central departments operations, BTS Vision - a treasury management system, as well as the ATM / POS and card management system.
The new Integrated Information System of the Greek Postal Savings Bank is a complete customer-oriented banking system that will significantly contribute to the Bank''s modernization and improved quality of customer service. The system supports the full range of retail and commercial banking products offered in the market today, enables fast deployment of new banking products, and ensures 24-hour real-time service, security in processing multi-channel transactions as well as modern relationship banking practices. In addition, the system provides flexibility in the collaboration between the Bank and the 800 partner branches of the Hellenic Postal Services Organization, facilitating customer transaction in the branch networks of both organizations for all available banking products.
The new system''s scalable and expandable architecture covers both the current and the future needs of the Bank. In combination with PROFITSΘY subsystems, INTRACOM IT SERVICES installed the integrated BTS Vision system in order to cover the dealing room and treasury management needs of the Bank, as well as additional software applications (human resource management, help desk system, etc.). In addition the company offered all required services for implementation, data migration, training for all personnel, as well as, support of the new system''s operation.
