INTRACOM Jordan, subsidiary of INTRACOM IT SERVICES: Dynamic development and new projects in Middle East, Africa and Pakistan

INTRACOM Jordan, a subsidiary of INTRACOM IT SERVICES, has been dynamically expanding its activities even beyond the area of Middle East by signing agreements with leading telecommunication organizations in Africa, and Pakistan, and at the same time, further strengthening its leading position in Jordan.
Specifically, INTRACOM Jordan signed a 2.1 million USD contract, following an international tender with Sonatel Group (www.sonatel.sn), one of the largest telecommunication organizations in Senegal and present in Mali since 2002. Since November 2006, Sonatel Group is a partner of Orange Group. Sonatel, one of the largest telecommunications operator in Senegal, provides a wide range of fixed and mobile telephony, Internet and television services and has one of the most important Internet bandwidths in Africa (1.24 Gigabits). INTRACOM Jordan is currently implementing Oracle Customer Relationship Management Applications for both Sonatel and Ikatel, a sister-company within Orange Group in Mali.
Furthermore, following an international tender, INTRACOM Jordan has signed 1 million USD contract with Mobilink (www.mobilinkgsm.com), a subsidiary of Orascom Telecom, in Pakistan. Mobilink GSM (PMCL) started its operations in 1994, and has become the market leader both in terms of growth as well as having the largest customer subscriber base -over 20 million- in Pakistan. The company is the first cellular service provider to operate on a 100% digital GSM technology in Pakistan that also provides state-of-the-art communication solutions to its customers. The agreement signed with INTRACOM Jordan concerns the implementation services of Oracle E-Business Suite Applications and other customized modules that will create an integrated, fully parameterized, modular architecture to achieve multiple financials and supply chain requirements.
As far as its home country is concerned, INTRACOM Jordan further strengthened its leading position in Jordan by signing a 2 million USD contract with the local company Fastlink (www.fastlink.com.jo). Founded in 1995, Fastlink is the first operator to introduce mobile phone services in Jordan. The company earned its reputation as the most progressive telecom operator on the region in terms of competitiveness and readiness to adopt new technologies and deploy cutting-edge services. In 2003 MTC has acquired the majority equity interest in Fastlink. This is considered the largest single acquisition in the Middle East area and the largest private sector investment in Jordan. Today Fastlink has more than 1,000,000 users and covers the entire populated area of the Jordan, through more than 1,500 cell sites. According to the contract, ΙNTRACOM Jordan is responsible for delivering the EMC2 backup and Recovery solution to Fastlink Headquarters. The business continuity solution for Fastlink based on EMC2 Disaster Recovery, the world''s first content addressed storage solution (EMC2 Centera).
