INTRACOM Managing Director, Mr. George Deligiannis, at the World Economic Forum in Davos
INTRACOM Managing Director, Mr. George Deligiannis, participated in the World Economic Forum, which took place in Davos, Switzerland, on the 26th-30th of January 2005. This Forum constitutes the leading annual economic event in the world for the past 20 years, attracting top-level executives from more than 2000 companies and the greatest social, political and business leaders worldwide.
It should be noted that the Forum was comprised of a particularly select group of participants to join the various sessions, and Mr. Deligiannis was one of the two representatives of Greek companies to join.
Mr. Deligiannis participated in the sessions regarding development prospects in Europe, the contribution of technology to economic growth according to the Lisbon EU Agenda, the modern corporate governance as well as the current challenges large international companies are facing. The selection of Mr. Deligiannis to represent ΙNTRACOM in the distinguished speakers program corroborates the company's international status and the dynamics it presents through its worldwide activities and presence.
INTRACOM Managing Director commented on the smart use of information technology towards increase of productivity, the prospects of outsourcing, and the development of new markets in E. Europe and the Middle East through international alliances and initiatives aiming at both the public and private sector.
During his stay in Davos, Mr. Deligiannis also joined the proceedings for the preparation of the European Meeting of the World Economic Forum, which is scheduled for October 2005 in Berlin and its main theme focuses around the revival of Europe's developmental course. At the same time, Mr. Deligiannis had business meetings with representatives of leading companies and personalities of international status.
