INTRACOM provides the monitoring system for the Signaling Network No.7 (SS7) of STET HELLAS TELECOMMUNICATIONS
INTRACOM was recently assigned the implementation of the Monitoring System of the Signaling Network No.7 (SS7) of STET HELLAS TELECOMMUNICATIONS, the Greek subsidiary of Telecom Italia Mobile. The project amounts to 2.2 million Euro. The system will be based on the "acceSS7" platform of Agilent Technologies and will provide STET Hellas Telecommunications the ability to proactively monitor and manage the SS7 network links in real-time, as well as retrieve vital information on the offered telecommunication services, thus enhancing the company's ability to deliver high-quality, reliable and leading-edge services to its customers, especially during the period of the Olympic Games 2004 in Athens.
INTRACOM has provided, with similar systems, the largest telecommunications organizations in Greece (OTE ? the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization and Vodafone Greece), as well as Operators in Bulgaria, Poland and Croatia. Furthermore, Agilent Technologies? acceSS7 platform has been successfully implemented in the largest telecommunications operators throughout the world. These include Sprint, ΑΤ&Τ Wireless, Bell (U.S.A), Bell Canada (Canada), TIM, Wind (Italy), BT Cellnet, Vodafone (U.K), France Telecom, Orange (France), Telefonica (Spain) και KPN (Netherlands), to mention a few.
The collaboration between INTRACOM and Agilent Technologies started in 1998 and includes, among others, the promotion and sales -by INTRACOM- of the Agilent Technologies systems to Telecommunications Operators in Greece, the Balkans and the Middle East.
Within the framework of its cooperation with Agilent Technologies, INTRACOM provides services such as: (a) Adaptation of the proposed system to customer needs, (b) Design, implementation and integration of the system into the Operators' telecommunication and information technology environment and (c) Project management, customer training and systems support/ maintenance.
