Agrotiki Insurance obtained an ISO 9001:2000 certification by the Hellenic Organization for Standardization (ELOT) after it has met the system's requirements.

Agrotiki Insurance is the first Greek insurance company ever to be certified by ISO 9001:2000.

The certification was received today by Mr. Triantafyllos Lyssimachou, Managing Director of Agrotiki Insurance, in the presence of Mr. Ioannis Papanikos, President of the Company's Board of Directors and Mr. Pausanias Zakolykos, President of the ELOT, during a special meeting that took place in a hotel in the center of Athens.

The ELOT EN ISO 9001:2000 Standard is applied in neuralgic units such as:

• Sub direction of Agricultural Insurances
• Department for the Insurance of Ship Crews
• Education Department
• Human-Resource Administration Department

The decision made by the certification council of the Hellenic Organization for Standardization constitutes a confirmation of the high quality services that Agrotiki Insurance has been offering to its clients.

During his speech Mr. Lyssimachou pointed out that the successful outcome regarding the certification provided by the Hellenic Organization for Standardization constitutes an important acknowledgement of the coordinated efforts that were exerted by the personnel of the certified, as well as all the other, departments that were involved in this compound effort.

Prof. Takis Spathis, the representative of Mr. Alexandros Kalafatis, Under Secretary in the Ministry of Development, congratulated the administration of Agrotiki Insurance for the achievement of its goal and for the acquirement of this strategic advantage by way of providing upgraded services to its clients.
