Kyprou Leasing - 70% Increase in pre-tax profits for 2003
The turnover and profitability of Kyprou Leasing, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bank of Cyprus in Greece, have exhibited a high rate of increase during 2003. Kyprou Leasing ranked third among all companies in the sector, based on its 14% market share. The pre-tax profit of the company recorded a 70% increase in 2003, reaching 6,5 million euros, up from 3,9 million euros in 2002. Kyprou Leasing's operating profit for 2003 increased by 18,5% to ?5,9 million, up from 5,0 million euros in 2002.
The company's turnover increased by 48% in 2003. The increase was recorded in all sub-sectors of leasing in which the company operates. Kyprou Leasing?s turnover for 2003 amounted to 118 million euros, up from 80 million euros in 2002. The value of new contracts reached 276 million euros in 2003, up from 193 million euros in 2002, recording an increase of 43,5%.
