LIQUIDATION OF THE ATHEX STOCK PORTFOLIOI

30 November 2004 - The liquidation of the largest part of the stock portfolio of the subsidiary company "Athens Exchange S.A.", i.e. all of the National Bank of Greece and Alpha Bank positions, amounting to 1,346,645 and 2,552,234 shares respectively was completed today, November 30th 2004.
