LISTING DATE OF NEW SHARES

Hellenic Exchanges Holding S.A. (HELEX) announces:

1.   Due to the partial coverage of the share capital increase, the new shares that resulted from the share capital increase by contribution in kind, will be listed on the Main Market of the Athens Stock Exchange after the amendment of the relative article of the corporation charter and its registration in the company registrar. The amendment of the article is the main subject of the Extraordinary General Meeting that has been announced for Friday, 22 February 2002 at 16:00 and will take place at the Athens Stock Exchange, 10 Sofokleous Street, Athens, Greece.

2.   The beneficiaries of the new shares that have resulted from the share capital increase will have the right to participate in the EGM without exhibiting the relevant confirmation from the Central Securities Depository due to the fact that their shares are deposited at HELEX and they are temporarily credited in the Dematerialised Securities System.
