MICHANIKI is the lowest bidder in euros 121.5 mln tenders

On Wednesday, the 24th of September 2003, the Greek Ministry of Public Works opened the sealed bids in two tenders, one for the construction of sections of the new auto route linking Athens with Thessaloniki and one for the construction of a section of the Ionian highway detouring the city of Arta. In both tenders Michaniki SA was the lowest bidder.

In the first project: 'Construction of Sections of Autoroute Thermopiles-Sperchios River, and Roditsa-Ag. Marina, Extension of PATHE Highway Skarfia-Lamia-Raches', budgeted at euros 84.5 mln, MICHANIKI S.A submitted the lowest bid at euros 72.7mln, corresponding to a 14.2 percent discount.

The project involves the complete construction of two sections on Greece's main north-south highway linking Athens and Thessaloniki, around the city of Lamia stretching for 8.8 and 8.5 klm. respectively.

In the second project: 'Section Ag. Dimitrios-Sellades, Detour of Arta-Philippiada' budgeted at euros 37.0 mln, MICHANIKI S.A also submitted the lowest bid at euros 32.7 mln, corresponding to a 11.6 percent discount

This project, part of western Greece?s Ionian Highway, involves the complete construction of an 8 Km autoroute with width of 24,5 m.
