The company announces that on February 19, 2003 signed a deal with the Public Power Corporation (PPC) to built a construction project in the prefecture of Kozani, northern Greece, budgeted at a total of euro 23.2 million.

The project involves the construction of the new water supply pipe of the Steam Power Stations (SPS) of Kardia and Agios Dimitrios from the reservoir of the Hydroelectric Power Station in Polyfyto, Kozani.

The construction project of the water supply pipe in the two SPSs includes both civil engineer works and the installation of electro-mechanical equipments. This project is considered particularly important, because it significantly improves the operation of the two SPSs.

The SPSs of Kardia and Agios Dimitrios with production capacity of 1.200 MW and 1.587 MW respectively, will increase Greece's total capacity in sight of the high demand during the 2004 Olympic Games.

The time frame for the completion of the project is 22 months from the day of the signing of the contract, plus another two months of testing.
