M.J.MAILLIS GROUP further strengthening its management team

Michael J. Maillis, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of The Maillis Group said: After four years of robust growth, The Group has integrated its? acquisitions, unified its? strategies and now is further strengthening its management team.

Effective November 1st The Group has created two Chief Operating Officers positions (COO), with distinct duties and responsibilities, reporting to Mr. Maillis.

John M. Kourouglos, an experienced global executive, has been named to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer with global responsibilities for sales, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain and logistics.

Mr. Harris Stavrinoudakis, a veteran of The Group, has also been named COO with global responsibilities for Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology.

Mr. Maillis further stated: 'I am pleased that Mr. Kourouglos and Mr. Stavrinoudakis are joining forces to facilitate rapid adoption of best practices to accelerate profitable growth across The Group worldwide'

Mr. J. Kourouglos was, most recently, General Manager of the Personal & Household care business of Tredegar Film Products Inc, in Richmond VA, a global manufacturer of plastic films.

Prior to joining Tredegar, Mr. Kourouglos was employed by Cookson Plc Group, where he worked from 1987 to 2001. John served as Executive VP of Cookson Plastic Molding and President / VP of Operations of Cookson Pigments. John, earlier, had nine years of increasing responsibility with E.I. Dupont, at three different company locations.

John received his M.S. in Management and B.S. in Chemical Engineering degrees, from New Jersey Institute of Technology, in 1982 & 1978 respectively.

Mr. Harris Stavrinoudakis graduated from the Economic University of Athens and he received his MBA from the Economic University Athens and the Erasmus University of Rotterdam. He began his career in Shell Hellas serving also as Planning and MIS Manager and then continued in Shell International in London in the Global Shell Treasury Centre and then as Risk Manager.

In 1999 he moved to M.J.MAILLIS Group where he begins with the organization of Group Treasury and MIS as well as coordination of acquisitions. In 2000 he is appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Group. In 2003, together with his role as CFO, he is also appointed HR Group Director and Vice President of the Board of Directors.
