MLS Multimedia S.A. announces a partnership agreement with Vienna-based Philips Speech Recognition Systems, a leading provider of speech recognition technology, aiming at the joint development of products for the Greek language.

The first product is under development by MLS and is expected to be on the market the first week of December. It is a real-time speech recognition application for the Greek language, where the user will write Greek in the computer by simply speaking to it without requiring a keyboard. The application's main features will be accuracy in recognition, quick response and certainly the unique ability of immediate conversion of speech to typed text, in real time, as it is being dictated by the user. The application will target all Greek PC users, while in a short period of time special-purpose applications will be released addressing specific professional groups.
