Athens, May 15, 2002 · ?Makedonia Palace? of Grecotel, recently proceeded to the complete replacement of its Information Technology system, by applying the modern standards of the Hotel's Information Technologies.

The project was appointed and successfully completed by HiT Hospitality Integrated Technologies S.A., a company of ALTEC Group, exclusively active in the Tourism Sector.

The new IT system is based on the latest technologies of PMS systems, PROTEL Software MS-SQL server, covering sectors like Front Office · Reservations · Banquet · Sales & Marketing, but also today's demands for On-Line Internet Reservations · Central Reservation System · Head Quarters · Central Information System.

Catering departments have been equipped with the new systems e-clickIII of LABware, touch screens, tax printers, two-way wireless ordering technology, Clickmenu and wireless room checking.

The Hotel's rooms will be equipped with new TV sets with special remote controls, but also with a keyboard for Internet access and e-mail, through a two-way digital television. This is the perfect Active-2 system of VDA, which offers new electronic services apart from PAY-TV services, like Games on Demand, Music on Demand, Video on Demand, Wake-up, Messages, E-shopping.
