NBG undertakes deposits of Achaiki, Lamia and Lesvos-Limnos Cooperative Banks

NBG informs investors that, pursuant to Bank of Greece decision of 23 March 2012 following completion of the competition process carried out under article 63D of Law 3601/2007, NBG has been assigned to assume the total deposits of the following cooperative banks: Achaiki Cooperative Bank, Cooperative Bank ofLamia, and Cooperative Bank of Lesvos-Limnos.

NBG will undertake only the deposits of the said banks and no other assets or liabilities thereof.

Under the said decision, these deposits will be transferred to NBG. The task of transferring the deposits is complex, requiring the generation and sending of electronic files from the said cooperative banks for incorporation into the files of NBG.

Once this process is complete, NBG will notify beneficiaries of the date as of which their accounts can be served via its branches.
