Pursuant to paragraph 2 (a) and (b) of article 24 of L. 3461/2006, Credit Agricole S.A. hereby notifies the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and, for the purposes of the publication on ATHEX Daily Bulletin, the Athens Exchange that:
(1) On September, 6th 2006, Crιdit Agricole S.A. acquired, at the price of euro 2.18 each, 749,340 common registered voting shares of the company "Phoenix Metrolife Emporiki S.A." (the "Company"), representing approximately 0.82% of the Company's voting rights;
(2) Prior to the above acquisition, Credit Agricole S.A. controlled directly and indirectly (as a result of the acquisition of control in Emporiki Bank of Greece S.A.) approximately 92.03% of the Company's voting rights;
(3) Following the above acquisition, Crιdit Agricole S.A. controls directly and indirectly approximately 92.85% of the Company's voting rights.

In addition, please note that in the notification of Crιdit Agricole S.A., dated 06 September 2006 and more precisely under item three (3), after the word "controls" the words "directly and" were omitted.
