Pursuant to paragraph 2 (a) and (b) of article 24 of L. 3461/2006, Crιdit Agricole S.A. hereby notifies the Hellenic Capital Market Commission and, for the purposes of the publication on ATHEX Daily Bulletin, the Athens Exchange that:
(1) On September, 8th 2006, Crιdit Agricole S.A. acquired, at the price of euro 2.18 each, 289,817 common registered voting shares of the company "Phoenix Metrolife Emporiki S.A." (the "Company"), representing approximately 0.31% of the Company's voting rights;
(2) Prior to the above acquisition, Crιdit Agricole S.A. controlled directly and indirectly (as a result of the acquisition of control in Emporiki Bank of Greece S.A.) approximately 93.35% of the Company's voting rights;
(3) Following the above acquisition, Crιdit Agricole S.A. controls directly and indirectly approximately 93.66% of the Company's voting rights.
