OPAP S.A. announced today that on 9.11.2005, the Persecution of Electronic Crime Department of the Chief Police Headquarters in Attica dislocated a group that conducted illegal bets the advertising & organization of which was carried out by the company BETANDWIN in a Car Exhibition in Athens, Greece. The persons, who organized the aforesaid action are taken today to the competent court of first instance District Attorney's office in Athens for infringement of the provisions stipulated in Article 2, L.2433/1996. OPAP S.A. would like to inform the investing public that it will continue to fight illegal betting activity in Greece in an effort to protect investors' & shareholders' interests.
