On Wednesday 5th June 2019, ATHEX welcomed the Al-Kharafi Group in the opening bell ceremony.
Mr. Khaled Waleed Al-Falah, Director, Business Development, M.A. Kharafi & Sons and member of Boursa Kuwait Board of Directors, rang the bell on the occasion of the commencement of negotiations on how to achieve further development of Boursa Kuwait after its recent privatisation.
Al-Kharafi Group is the parent company of the Kuwaiti listed company, National Investments Company (NIC), engaged in investment and asset management activities.
National Investments Company (NIC) is part of the consortium which, along with other investment partner and ATHEX, obtained 44% of Boursa Kuwait share capital.
ATHEX, as a market operator and provider of systems and technical solutions to other markets in the region as well as a listed company, has the required experience and know-how, in order to contribute to the development of new products and services for the growth of Boursa Kuwait and its capital market, in cooperation with the other members of the consortium.
