In the fiscal period from 1.7.2004 until 30.6.2005: The turnover of the company decreased by some 15.79% to EUR 208,806 thousand compared to EUR 247,949 thousand in the corresponding period last year. The gross profit margin rose by 8.47% to 13.83% versus 12.75% in the previous corresponding period. EBITDA went down by 33.03% compared to the previous fiscal year. Total pre-tax profits increased by some 62.65% (EUR 9,723 thousand versus EUR 5,978 thousand) last year Consolidated Balance Sheet Data of the parent company and subsidiary companies (AD FABRIKA SECERA SAJKASKA ZABALJ-SERBIA, AD FABRIKA SECERA CRVENKA-SERBIA, HSI CYPRUS LTD-CYPRUS, VALKANIKI SUGAR S.A.-THESSALONIKI (it is under liquidation) for the period from 1.07.2004 until 30.06.2005. The turnover of the Hellenic Sugar Industry Group of Companies decreased by 1.46% during the fiscal period 1.07.2004-30.6.2005, as it amounted to EUR 264,180 thousand versus EUR 268,103 thousand in the corresponding period of the previous year. The gross profit margin rose by some 79.68% to 20.25% against 11.27% last year. EBITDA went up by some 181.88% compared to the previous fiscal period. Finally, the net consolidated results of the Group before tax and after the deduction of minority interests ended with profits amounting EUR 14,729 thousand compared to losses of EUR 1,068 thousand in the corresponding period last year. In addition, the BoD of the company, during its session on 14 October 2005 approved the Balance Sheet dated 30 June 2005 (1.7.2004-30.6.2005) and the third Consolidated Balance Sheet of Hellenic Sugar Industry S.A. The aforementioned Balance Sheets will be published on Thursday 27 October 2005 in the daily Greek newspapers-"AGELIOFOROS", "H NAFTEMPORIKI" and "KATHIMERINI".
