PC SYSTEMS Company in the Public Call For Tender of the University of Thessaly undertook a project for providing Technical Equipment and Networking to the Primary Education and Back Up Facilities in specific Greek municipalities.

More specifically, the project concerns the supply and installation of basic computer and networking facilities such as business office automation software in Schools and Administrative Departments in the area of following municipalities: Evrytania, Karditsa, Larissa, Magnissia, Trikala, Fthiotida and Fokida. The project?s cost is estimated to be 1.27 million Euros and is enrolled in the Information Society European Program.

The project procedure will take place in 664 Primary Schools, Preschools and First-class education Administrative Departments. All departments will be connected with the already established Greek School network junctions (www.sch.gr). The project is expected to be complete until the end of March 2004.

It is worth noting that project was implemented with PLATO PCs of POULIADIS AND ASSOCIATES, MICROSOFT?S business software products, HEWLETT PACKARD peripherals as well as SUN Microsystems system equipment.
