Presentation at the Association of Greek Institutional Investors
A presentation of C. ROKAS S.A. took place today (2/4/2007) at the offices of the Association of Greek Institutional Investors. The company was represented by Mr. Matthew Troulis, CEO, Mr. Christian Thomas, Group Finance & Administration Director and Mr. Simos Camhis, Corporate Finance Director and Investor Relations Officer (IRO). The speakers have presented in detail the main activities of Rokas Group, the latest developments mainly in the energy sector, as well as the FY2006 Group''s financial results.
Rokas'' representatives mentioned that the Group operates successfully in the Energy sector, producing electricity from Renewable Energy Sources, while they also referred to the parent company''s traditional activity in the Electromechanical Projects sector, adding that the company holds a leading position in Greece in both sectors of its activity.
It was also noted that the Rokas Group, a pioneer in the Greek market of Renewable Energy Sources, presently owns and operates Wind Parks of 193,3MW installed capacity producing over 525 GWh annually. An important contribution to the Group''s growth course must be also credited to its main shareholder, the Spanish Group Iberdrola, which currently holds a 52.7% stake in Rokas and is a world leader in Renewable Energy Sources with an installed capacity of over 4.000MW.
Finally, Rokas'' representatives commented extensively on FY2006 results. During 2006, the Group''s sales amounted to EUR 50.2 million, slightly reduced by 6% compared to fiscal 2005, mainly due to lower revenues from E/M projects. On the other hand, consolidated EBITDA increased by 11.5% reaching EUR 31.8 million in 2006 and correspondingly net earnings rose by 78%, amounting to EUR 16 million compared to EUR 9 million in fiscal 2005.
