On Tuesday, 7 March 2017, the President of ATHEXGroup, Mr. Iakovos Georganas, met with the Economic and Commercial Diplomats Club as part of the Group's strategy to develop the stock market.

Mr. Georganas welcomed over thirty Economic and Commercial Diplomats and presented the Group's strategy, analyzing the goals set and the development plans established as part of the broader economic and business environment. This was followed by a presentation to the members of the ECDC on "The Greek Capital Market ? Investment and Financial Opportunities" given by Mr. Pantelis Lambrou, ATHEXGroup Strategic Communication and Market Analysis Director.

The event started with the ATHEX closing bell ceremony, which was declared by the Vice President, Ms. Siwarde J. Sap (Senior Advisor Economic Affairs, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands). Among other things, Ms. Sap  pointed out that: "it is our duty as Economic and Commercial Diplomats from over 40 countries to strengthen bilateral relations, facilitate and stimulate foreign investments."

The Economic and Commercial Diplomats Club (ECDC) has some 40 members who are diplomats in charge of economic policy and foreign trade/investment affairs at their respective Embassies. As part of their professional duties and with a view to becoming better acquainted with Greece, the members of the ECDC visit representatives of the Greek political and business life as well as major organizations and bodies.
