Q-TELECOM, the network of fixed and mobile telephony of Info-Quest, and FORTHNET have signed today an Interconnection agreement, thus enabling their customers' interactive communication. More specifically, this agreement provides for the interconnection of Q-TELECOM'S mobile telephony network with the FORTHNET fixed telephony network.

Therefore, upon the implementation of the agreement the users of Q-TELECOM's mobile network can receive also calls from users of FORTHNET'S network.

As Q-TELECOM's Director of Regulatory Affairs and Competition, Mr. Marios Yiatzides mentioned: ?The interconnection is the ?key element? for the development of the telecommunication market, enlarging the consumers' benefits that result from the deregulation of telecommunications. Fore these reasons, Q has included interconnections agreements in its strategic objectives, from the beginning of its commercial launch».

It is worth mentioning that, that Q-TELECOM launched its services last June, having previously signed interconnection agreements with the other mobile networks, as well as the fixed network of OTE.
