In response to letter dated on 11.12.2006 of the Athens Stock Exchange regarding articles published in both the financial and electronic press, according to which MITERA S.A. acquired an additional percentage of the share capital of maternity clinic LITO S.A., we would like to note, pursuant to articles 281, 285 and 302 of the Regulation of the Athens Stock Exchange, the following:
As we had informed the public with our announcement under protocol number 54181/20.11.2006, we have held meetings with both MITERA S.A. and LITO S.A. regarding possible future collaborations with the purpose of reducing the operating expenses of all three companies. Within this framework, we had informed the public of the possibility that the holding of MITERA S.A. in LITO S.A. may increase. Although the discussions of these meetings have reached an advanced stage, the interested parties have neither, to this day, reached a final agreement nor signed a memorandum of agreement of final agreement. It is apparent, as we were bound from our previous announcement, that if any agreement is reached that will affect our Company both in terms of its financial position and business activities, our Company will issue announcements relative thereto pursuant to the legislation in force.
