Revolution in Mobile Telephony by Vodafone
How would you feel if you had the ability to share your life's experiences by being able to send them, with Vodafone's help, to everyone that has a handset that supports MMS or to every email address you wish?
Within the next few months, this particular service will be gradually enriched with even more content applications, for instance, offering the company's subscribers the ability to receive information concerning the most important sports news and even weather forecasts with sound and picture.
The provision of this service for the first time in Greece is the result of an extremely successful cooperation between Vodafone and Ericsson . The two companies have been working together after having concluded a respective collaboration for the design and development of MMS technology.
Vodafone is offering MMS free of charge for the first three months of subscription so that its subscribers can easily familiarize themselves with the new service. The service will initially only be available via the use of the Ericsson T68I. Customers with handsets that do not support MMS will receive an SMS with instructions of how they can access the MSS sent to them.
Commenting on the launch of MMS, the Vodafone CEO Mr. George Koronias, said: ?Vodafone is once more a leader in the Greek telecommunications market. Vodafone is the first network in Greece to give its subscribers the ability to exchange MMS. We are positive that our subscribers will embrace this new and avant-garde way of having fun and communicating at the same time. In addition, we are sure that MMS will enjoy the same level of success as SMS, which within a very short period of time was established as the most successful data service in Greece.?
