Shareholder's update for the four months of 2025 Group sales performance
April 2025 marked another month of strong consumer confidence across all markets where the JUMBO Group operates.
- JUMBO Group's sales for April managed a +5% y-o-y increase.
- For the first four months of the year (January – April 2025), Group sales were up by +7,4% y-o-y.
Sales confirm the shift in the Easter holiday season this year compared to last year, ultimately affected the performance—an expected outcome management had previously flagged.
- It is worth noting that Easter in 2025 was celebrated on April 20, while in 2024 it fell on May 5, rendering the two periods effectively non-comparable.
- Last year's holiday period had been extended by two weeks, allowing for greater seasonal and summer product absorption—something that was not the case this yea.
Management anticipates that summer product consumption will accelerate over the next two months, benefiting from the extended duration of the summer season.
- In light of the above, the Group considers it appropriate to assess its overall performance upon the completion of the first half of the year.
Despite the volatility characterizing the international retail landscape, JUMBO Group management remains optimistic about its future prospects. At the same time, it continues to adopt a "paranoid level of caution" against any factor that could disrupt the achievement of its strategic goals.
