The Stock Exchange announces that the system of electronic filing of the Athens Stock Exchange is set into a pilot operation during this period. The standardization of the communication of the Athens Stock Exchange with all the outside agencies (listed companies, members, underwriters, issue consultants e.t.c.) is required, as there is large differentiation in their correspondence with the Athens Stock Exchange.

The correct operation of the system of electronic filing will significantly improve the internal procedures of the Athens Stock Exchange and it will accelerate the processing of its dealings with the outside agencies.

Relevant to information regarding the code numbers of documents, as well as standardized specimens of documents, the interested parties may visit the site of the Athens Stock Exchange (www.ase.gr) and more specifically, the section < >, which will be updated at regular intervals with new code numbers or standardized documents that will be gradually added in the future.

The official beginning of the operation of the System of Electronic Filing of Documents will start on Monday, September 10, 2001.
