FORTHcrs, a subsidiary of FORTHnet Group, gave today the 20th of November 2001, a press conference with the occasion of the strategic agreement with ANEK Lines Group and ΜΙΝΟΑΝ Lines Group.

The agreement is calling for equal participation of the two shipping Groups in the stock capital of the two companies FORTHcrs S.A. and TERRATEC S.A. (development company of specialized software in the tourism and transportation industry, a member of FORTHnet Group) and in continuation the merger of FORTHcrs with TERRATEC. The stock capital of FORTHcrs, that will emerge with the implementation of the above, will be formed in 2002.

FORTHcrs, is the most powerful Greek company with its sole line of business in the tourism sector and is operating in the online industry of ticket reservation and distribution, offering a specialized set of services.

Through its services, there is an interconnection of the reservation systems of the shipping companies and other material producers, and as a result the travel agencies acquire a uniform system to reserve and issue tickets. The interconnection to the distribution system of FORTHcrs is offering the opportunity for route combinations through the same reservation, with the same or different means. In this way, all the agents can cooperate with different transportation companies therefore expanding their field of activities. The expansion of FORTHcrs in the hospitality and entertainment field will strengthen even more the potentail and the benefits that will occur.
