The Board of Directors of "Hellenic Exchanges Holding S.A." expresses its deepest sympathies for the unexpected loss of Spyros Kouniakis, who was the company's first Chairman of the Board.

The deceased assumed his responsibilities in March 2000 and remained in his position until August of the same year.

During his service, the novel and successful attempt of the listing of Hellenic Exchanges on the Athens Stock Exchange took place. Spyros Kouniakis also held the positions of Chairman of the Athens Stock Exchange and of the Thessaloniki Stock Exchange. He also held top management positions in various public and private sector companies.

The Board of Directors has decided:

To express its deepest sympathies to the family of the deceased
For its members to be present at the funeral
To lay a wreath for the deceased
To deposit the amount of Euro 10,000 for the support of the "Zannio" foundation
