SYSWARE ANNOUNCES NEW BUSINESS AGREEMENT IN NORTHERN GREECE

Athens, April 24, 2001 · SYSWARE S.A. (SYS GA) (SYSr.AT), the System Integration listed subsidiary of the ALTEC Group (ALTEC GA) (AICr.AT), announced that it signed a contract with the Hellenic Sugar Industry a few days ago. According to the agreement, SYSWARE S.A. undertakes the project of supplying Voice and Data hardware and network equipment, as well as maintenance for a five-year period.SYSWARE Northern Greece will assume this project. Hellenic Sugar Industry was established in 1960 and is the sole sugar producer in Greece. The company operates five industrial production units, one modern research center, one seed processing unit, one development unit, twenty-one sugar distribution centers and twenty-three agricultural stations.The project concerns interconnecting the call centers of all industrial units and the Athens office, with the company's headquarters in Thessalonica. The network's junctions will allow the transmission of Voice and Data.Subsequent to the necessary adjustment of certain parameters, the goal of this project is to replace the company's central hardware equipment. This will allow Hellenic Sugar Industry to meet its increased current software needs and support the firm's future expansion.For the implementation and completion of the project, SYSWARE S.A. will cooperate with ALTEC S.A. and STAT S.A. of its parent Group, as well as with the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A.SYSWARE S.A., a subsidiary of the ALTEC Group, specializes in the development, installation and support of Integrated Information Technology and Telecommunications Systems (System Integration) since 1993.
