The Board of Directors of "EMPORIKI BANK OF GREECE S.A." (the "Bank") announces that as from Tuesday, 03 January 2006, trading on the Athens Stock Exchange will commence of the 26,478,294 new, ordinary, registered shares of the Bank, of nominal value 5.50 Euro each, arising from the Share Capital Increase paid in cash, as decided by the Second Repeat General Shareholders - Meeting of 21 September 2005. The Board of Directors of the Athens Stock Exchange, at its meeting on 28 December 2005, approved the listing of the 26,478,294 new shares for trading on the Athens Stock Exchange. It is confirmed that the new shares will on the first day of trading be credited to the Shareholder ledgers and securities accounts on the Dematerialised Securities System (SAT).
