Vodafone (Greece) announces its total registered customer base reached 2,965,804 customers for the year ended 31 March 2002, a 26.7% increase compared to March 2001. Total net additions for the year reached 625,784 reflecting a 10.3% increase compared to the net additions of the previous year.

Contract customers for the year increased 10.7% compared to the previous period, totaling 820,427. Vodafone (Greece) added 29.2% more contract customers during the year compared to the previous year.

At the end of the period, prepay customers totaled 2,145,377 and represented 72.3% of the total customer base. Prepaid customers increased 34.2% compared to the previous year.

CU net adds for the year more than doubled compared to last year reflecting once more the success of this prepay product despite intense competition. CU accounted for 70% of prepay net additions for the year.

Contract net additions for the quarter ended 31 March 2002 were 10,229, while prepaid net additions for the quarter were 70,703.

Annual blended churn reduced by 5.2 percentage points to 17.5% from 22.7% showing the rewards of our commercial strategy and the launch of the Vodafone shops, which play a key role in attracting and retaining our customers.

Based on the inactive1 definition basis, Vodafone (Greece) reports that 76% of its total customer base was active as at 31 March 2002. The majority of inactive customers were prepaid customers, with 29% of the prepaid base being inactive and only 9.5% of the contract base being inactive. Overall inactivity trend shows evidence of strong stabilization. The increase in contract customers' inactivity over the previous quarter is attributed to higher third quarter sales and increase in internal churn, while prepaid remained stable.

Vodafone (Albania)2, announced a total customer base for the year ended 31 March 2002 of 169,482 customers, with prepay representing the majority (167,405). Net additions for the quarter reached 50,915 representing more than 60% of net additions market share for the quarter, thus reflecting the Albania market dynamics and the success in the company positioning. Vodafone (Albania ) on 31 March 31 2001 had 35.9% market share within 8 months of operations.
