New Euro 750 million 3-Year bond issue successfully launched
Piraeus Bank announces the successful launch of its new 3-Year senior bond issue in the amount of Euro 750 million. The bond was issued under Piraeus Bank''s Euro Medium Term Note (EMTN) programme and the issuer is the Bank''s subsidiary Piraeus Group Finance PLC.
The international markets received the bond with great interest and the orderbook exceeded Euro 1.3 billion in a few hours (1.8 times oversubscribed). A total of 110 investors from 20 countries participated resulting in 90% of the amount being distributed to investors abroad.
This bond complements Piraeus Bank''s benchmark yield curve and re-enforces Piraeus Bank status as an issuer in the international markets.PRESS RELEASE
The new 3-year bond is a floating rate note (FRN) with a coupon of Euribor + 20 basis points and shall be listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The transaction was lead-managed by Barclays Capital, Merrill Lynch and Natixis.
