The factors on which future growth of ALTEC GROUP will be based, presented today Mr. Athanassios Athanassoulis in his speech during the Company''s presentation to the Association of Greek Institutional Investors.
Mr. Athanassoulis pointed out that actions are based on the results of systematic research and analysis of market data as a whole and on a sectoral basis. "Information Technology has entered a new phase with different characteristics that have nothing in common with the past. The new era in IT is mainly characterized by services with superior value added that apply to the strategic re-engineering of businesses, the rationalization of processes and practices of organizations as well as the services to citizens".
As far as Altec is concerned, Mr. Athanassoulis quoted that significant effort will be put on the expansion to the markets of South-East Europe through the strengthening of operations to countries in which Altec is already present and the start-up and development to new countries that present interesting opportunities.
New software products have already been designed that are based on the very successful Kefalaio, X-Line and Atlantis solutions.
At the same time, the better management and utilization of Altec'' s property results to important benefits. During the next two months, new Group offices in Maroussi will be ready in which the activities of all Group subsidiaries will be accommodated.
For the telecommunications sector Mr Athanassoulis pointed out that ALTEC TELECOMS will shortly possess privately owned network (LLU) that will enable the offering of the evolutionary broadband product line ''x-play''.
As far as MICROLAND is concerned, Mr Athanassoulis underlined the fast expansion of network that is targeted to reach 350 points of sale covering the major part of the country.
Finally, a comprehensive presentation of ALTEC GROUP financial results was made.
