On Wednesday, 13 June, OPAP made a presentation at the Association of Greek Institutional Investors. The company was represented by Mr. B. Neiadas CEO, Mr J. Saraintaris CFO, Mr E. Maganas IRO. There were references to the latest developments and the Q1 07 financial results.
In particular there were references to the in house undertaking of the STIHIMA game since 30 January 2007. The CEO commented that the game's performance so far is satisfactory, targeting on an annual payout range between 68 - 69 % and having a cost saving in the range of 2% to 3% for the first year of the game operations.
As far as KINO concerns, the company's second bigger game, there was satisfaction for its performance at Q2, since the extended playing hours were applied.
Concerning the international IT tender, the CEO commented that the committee has not concluded their assessment while 15th of July is the final date completing the selection procedure.
Finally, the company's international expansion was discussed and reference was made to propositions OPAP has (consultancy for KINO, participation in European numerical game etc). All propositions are examined and decisions will be made the following months, while not challenging the monopoly status in Greece.
