The announcement is sent for informational purposes and concerns ivestors who maintain an account at the Cyprus Stock Exchange and have Share Warrants under the Code LGW.
Holders of share warrants (2005/2007) of Marfin Popular Bank Public Co Ltd (the Bank) are reminded that, according to the terms of issue of the warrants, they may exercise the right to purchase the shares offered during the period 1 - 20 November 2007.
The warrant may be exercised at any branch of the Bank by completing and submitting the warrant conversion application that was sent to all warrant holders and at the same time paying the relevant amount. The exercise price is CYP6,43/euro 10,99 per share and beneficiaries have the right to purchase one share for each warrant held. The shares to be allotted as a result of exercise of the warrants will rank equally with existing shares. The new shares will be credited to the beneficiaries' accounts and will begin trading on the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) once the necessary approvals have been obtained from the CSE Council.
In addition, warrant holders are reminded that this is the last period when they may exercise their right to purchase the offered shares and those warrants that are not exercised will be cancelled. The last day of their trading on the Cyprus Stock Exchange is 29 October 2007. Investors who purchase warrants before 29 October and do not have a warrant conversion application should contact the Bank's Shares and Debentures Department, telephone 00357 22363380, or any branch of the Bank during the exercise period, showing their identity card.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 5.2.3 (Communication with beneficiaries of securities), paragraph 9, of the CSE Council Decision, published in the Official Gazette of the Republic on 31/12/2005 (KDP 596/2005 as amended), we note that the share trading price on the CSE immediately prior to this announcement, i.e. on 8/10/2007, was euro 9,76 / CYP5,71.
The exchange rate of the exercise price in Euro and the share price in Cyprus Pounds is euro 1 to CYP0,585274.
