The Hellenic Telecommunications Organization SA (OTE SA), announces that:
As part of its legal obligations, Cosmote SA has submitted to the Hellenic Capital Markets Commission notifications of purchases of 53,000 Cosmote shares for Euro 1,266,968, on September 25, 2007 and of 416,072 Cosmote shares for Euro 9,944,121, on September 27, 2007 by its parent company ΟΤΕ SA.
According to applicable law, the legal representative of OTE SA is obliged to notify the issuer of the shares (Cosmote SA) of the aforementioned transactions in due time.
OTE SA proceeded with the purchase of Cosmote shares as a means to retain its constitutional majority participation in its subsidiary?s share capital following the share capital increase that will take place as a result of the annual exercise of stock options by Cosmote employees.
