EUROMEDICA S.A. hereby announces to its shareholders and to investors that, following its successful share capital increase, it is proceeding to the implementation of its investment plan with two new acquisitions.
1. Acquisition of a holding in MEDINET ALEXANDROUPOLIS S.A.
EUROMEDICA S.A. has acquired a 49% holding in the MEDINET ALEXANDROUPOLIS S.A. Diagnostic Laboratory, for the sum of 416,500 euro.
The MEDINET ALEXANDROUPOLIS S.A. diagnostic centre has magnetic tomography and the only Nuclear Medicine Department in Alexandroupoli, specializing in the diagnosis of heart complaints.
The centre has operated since 2004 on premises of 220m2 and is staffed by outstanding scientific personnel (medical radiologists).
2. Acquisition of a holding in Galinos Trikalon Iatriki S.A.
EUROMEDICA S.A. has purchased 45% of the Private Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine Laboratory Galinos Trikalon Iatriki S.A. for 652,260 euro.
The Private Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine Laboratory Galinos Trikalon Iatriki S.A. will be formed from the limited liability company Galinos Iatriki Diagnostiki Trikalon, a Nuclear Medicine laboratory located on private premises in the centre of Trikala that began operating in 1995.
Following this acquisition, EUROMEDICA has a wide network of primary and secondary healthcare in the region of Thessaly, with two clinics and a rehabilitation centre in the city of Larissa, three diagnostic centres in the city of Volos and a diagnostic centre in the city of Trikala. It is also in negotiations regarding further expansions with diagnostic centres and clinics in the four prefectures of Thessaly.
With the above two acquisitions, EUROMEDICA has raised the number of primary healthcare centres in its national network to 30, 12 of them in the greater Athens area (with one more shortly to begin operating), 5 in Thessaloniki plus EUROGENETICA S.A., 2 in Crete, 3 in Volos and one each in Larissa, Ptolemaida, Serres, Corinth, Alexandroupoli and Trikala.
