Further to its announcement of 19.3.2007, "MARFIN POPULAR BANK PUBLIC CO LTD" announces that, the legally required approvals having been obtained from the competent authorities in Cyprus and Ukraine, on 18.9.2007 the acquisition was completed of 99,2% of the share capital of the Ukrainian "Marine Transport Bank" and of three leasing companies affiliated to it.
