Following the September 4th, 2007 announcement concerning the actions taken to support the fire victims, Fourlis Group, announces the completion of this project.
The contribution of all the people of the Group, Retail Home Furnishings division (IKEA), Retail Sporting Goods division (INTERSPORT) and Electricals and Electronics division (SAMSUNG, GENERAL ELECTRIC, KORTING and LIEBHERR), was the key driver for the successful outcome.
A special committee from executives of the Group was constituted, in order this project to materialize. The committee, together with the local authorities, registered the needs of the victims related to the aforementioned products and provided help were needed.
With the important volunteer work done by the Groups' employees, resulted in directly delivering the Group's products (IKEA beds, kitchen-dining equipment, wardrobes and electricals) in 220 houses and temporary accommodations provided to victims.
